Recognizing the Voice of the Enemy

June 7, 2026Michael McDowell

Michael McDowell takes us into Genesis 3, where the serpent's subtle lies lead Adam and Eve into sin, and shows us that the enemy is still using the same playbook today. Michael unpacks three lies the enemy uses to pull us away from God: that His Word is restrictive and ridiculous, that sin has no real consequences, and that God isn't ultimately good. But just as Jesus recognized and rejected these same tactics in the wilderness, we can too — by picking up the sword of God's Word and trusting in the power of Jesus that lives in us.

When Shame Starts Talking

June 14, 2026Dan Slagle

Bible Teacher Dan Slagle teaches from Romans 8:33–34 and Genesis 3, unpacking one of the enemy's most destructive weapons: shame. Dan draws a clear distinction between guilt over what we've done and shame over who we are — and shows how the patterns Adam and Eve fell into (covering up, hiding out, blaming, making excuses) are the same ones we default to today. But what Adam and Eve couldn't fix, Jesus reversed at the cross — taking our shame fully upon himself so we don't have to carry it anymore. If you've ever felt like the real you could never be fully loved or accepted, this message is for you.

The Enemy in the Inner Me

June 21, 2026Duffy Robbins

Bible Teacher Duffy Robbins teaches from Ephesians 4:26–27 and 30–32, reminding us that not all anger is sin — but unchecked anger is one of the enemy's most effective weapons. Duffy unpacks how unholy anger works: it starts small but grows fast, it begins inside us but eventually poisons everything around us, and it always brings grief — to our relationships and to the Holy Spirit Himself. The good news is that the same God who calls us to "be angry and do not sin" has also given us the power, through His Spirit, to kill bitterness at the root before it takes over.
